General
No, diagnoses or referrals are not necessary. Anyone is able to attend counselling for any reason.
An individual session, which is 60 minutes long, costs $190. A 75-minute couples session costs $220.
Yes, I have a fixed number of openings each week for clients who qualify for sliding scale rates. See details on the Services page.
A Registered Provisional Psychologist is required to consult with a Senior Supervising Psychologist until they have completed all of the required hours and exams to become a Registered Psychologist.
24 hours' is notice is required to cancel an appointment. This can be done by emailing me at christopher@emberpsychology.ca. Providing notice allows time to fill slots for other clients seeking availability. If sufficient notice is not provided, the fee for the session will be charged.
Most insurance/benefit providers offer coverage for sessions with Provisional Psychologists. Please consult your provider for details on specific coverage.
No, unfortunately I am not able to offer direct billing at this time. I will provide a receipt for any services provided that you can submit to your provider for reimbursement.
Yes, I offer virtual sessions via Zoom. When booking each session, you will have the option to book an in-person or virtual session.
Individual sessions are 60 minutes . Couples' sessions are also 60-minutes, with the option to request longer sessions as needed.
